The design of Sequoia Resort lends itself to regeneration, an opportunity for people around Los Angeles and the Bay Area, as well as travelers from around the world, to unplug from the demands of modern living and to re-plug into the true joys of living, elements that, at their very core, are intrinsic to human nature.

From the stunning natural mountain setting to the fresh air brought in through the valley, all the way to the remoteness of the location, Sequoia Resort understands the essence behind what modern green community-oriented living needs to be. It's ideally located to explore all of the area's incredible parks, which are equally beautiful in summer and winter. Mindfully updated with the utmost respect for the environment it's in, Sequoia Resort offers any family, couple, or single traveler what they need to feel immediately at ease and instantly transported, free from all of the day-to-day
stresses and input overload that leave us feeling drained, depleted, and disconnected.

The perfect nature resort for intimate wedding ceremonies, large family reunions, romantic getaways, and retreats of all shapes and sizes, Sequoia Resort is waiting for you to come and remind yourself what life  is all about.
Once you're here, all you have to do is look around and listen, from the sky full of stars to the quiet chirp of the neighbor crickets, and suddenly you'll remember why life  is so much more than what we're made to believe it is.
"Lovely quite nature resort. We stayed in a very special house with loads of extra books to read. Enjoyed evenings on the terrace. Good facilities and well equipped cottage - a big kitchen. Very friendly, accommodating host."
Evelyne, South Africa
"The house was spacious and the amenities were well thought out. The location was a great base to explore the rest of the parks. We enjoyed our stay and plan to visit again during a winter season. Wish we could have stayed longer."
Darlene, Kapoli, US
"We loved the mid-century style of the home. The large home had a huge deck that went the length of the home so that you could enjoy the view of the valley and mountains. The smell of the air, the sound of the crickets, and the sight of the stars was enough to put one right into vacation mode. "
Jay, Beverley Hills, USA

When you are surrounded by nature, it doesn't take long to be reminded of what life is all about. This idea is the soul behind Sequoia Resort, a refuge for 21st-century living discovered in 2004 by German architects Reinhard and Marleen Hesse. Seeing the beauty in the deserted ghost town that surrounded California's Sierra Nevada foothills, the Hesse's decided to grow roots, understanding the potential that lies beneath an untouched piece of land.

Today, the Sequoia Resort is home to four nature-inspired vacation rental homes, each boasting unique architectural traits and mid-century modern details that highlight the area's natural beauty. Take in the morning sunrise on the expansive decks or cozy up in the afternoon with one of the many books waiting for you on the shelves inside. Complete kitchens with all of the features you need will make you feel instantly at home.

"I want people to come here, regenerate and think about what is really important in life."
Reinhard Hesse – Founder & Architect
